Doctor of Philosophy [Ph.D] Islamic Civilizations Studies
Islamic Civilizations Studies (ICIVS) at Emory University is a unique Ph.D. program that investigates Islamic civilizations through trans-regional and multidisciplinary perspectives. By concentrating on the cultural, social, economic, and linguistic interconnections that characterize the Islamic world, ICIVS prepares its graduates to engage intellectually across the humanities and the social sciences in a wide range of professional capacities.

Academic Eligibility:
- Applicants have a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
- Students have better than a B+ average, and strong undergraduate or professional research experiences.
- International applicants whose native language is not English must also complete the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
Indian Students Eligibility:
- Applicants must have passed graduation in a relevant field from a recognized institution with 60%.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
