Bachelor of Science [B.S] Science Education

Students take their science education courses in the John W. Renner Science Education Center. After completion of a rigorous study of science content related to the student's licensure areas and thorough investigations into sound, successful, theory-based pedagogy, students are highly qualified for science teaching positions at the secondary level.

Students seeking secondary school science certification are required to complete a Bachelor of Science degree plus one graduate-level course. Degree and certification can be accomplished in four years, though this can vary depending on when the student becomes a fully admitted student to the college. Students receive their certification in Science Education to teach in middle school, junior high school, and high school.
