- Accounting, in a limited sense, is the analysis, classification, and recording of financial events and the reporting of the results of such events for the organization. All financial systems for planning, controlling and appraising the performance of an organization.
- The Accounting major teaches students to understand accounting as the language of business. Students develop a strong foundational knowledge of accounting principles and tax law and learn to keep track of the money trail.
- Students learn to apply current accounting principles and practices to make sense of an organization’s financial data and use accounting information to diagnose the financial health of a business and offer solutions with ethical and sound reasoning.
