Master of Architecture [M.Arch.]
The M.Arch program at New York Tech helps student develop a critical understanding of historic and contemporary practices, cultures, and movements in the industry, preparing you to become a visionary leader and problem solver.
The program has two options:
- a two-year professional degree track for those with a pre-professional degree in architecture
- a three-year professional degree track for those with a bachelor’s degree in another area
Throughout your program, student will engage in experimental, innovative challenges in areas including digital design and fabrication, advanced architectural technology, and environmental urbanism.

Academic Eligibility
- Track I is a 3-year, 90 credit-hour track for applicants who have: An undergraduate bachelor's degree in a discipline other than architecture;
- Track II is a 2-year, 60 credit-hour track for applicants holding: A pre-professional, 4-year Bachelor of Science in Architecture degree, Architectural Technology, or equivalent.
- Additional Requirements for Track II students:
- 4 design studio courses at a variety of scales and programs
- Previous course work that fulfills the majority of required courses included in the first two years of our B.S.A.T. or B.Arch. programs and in the areas of:
- architectural history
- visualization and technical drawings
- building construction
- architectural structure
- architectural design
- A portfolio of architecture design work is required with your application to Track II of the M.ARCH. program
