Bachelor of Science [B.S] Chemical Engineering
CBU's chemical engineering program emphasizes hands-on experiences, while integrating the Christian faith throughout the curriculum. Additionally, students learn critical communication and teamwork skills that are vital for their future and are required to have internships prior to graduation to sufficiently prepare them for their careers. The chemical engineering program also receives continual feedback on the curriculum and individual courses from professionals in industry to make sure that students are obtaining a relevant education that meets the needs of industry.
What is chemical engineering (ChE)? Chemical engineers work to transform substances for the benefit and use of mankind. They may work in a variety of industries including pharmaceuticals, chemicals, energy and fuels, biotechnology, consumer products, foods and beverages, environmental remediation/treatment, and materials. Within those different industries, chemical engineers work in various roles such as process engineering, research and development, design, technical support, sales, manufacturing, and management.?
