Bachelor of Arts [B.A]/Bachelor of Science [B.S] Therapeutic Recreation
Graduates from this program may apply for national certification as certified therapeutic recreation specialists.
This curriculum consists of a minimum of 48 hours of general education and a minimum of 63 credit hours of therapeutic recreation required courses.
The therapeutic recreation student must complete 250 hours of clinical and/or paid therapeutic recreation experience before taking a full time 15-week, 600-hour practicum.
The student must also file for candidate status one semester prior to enrolling in the practicum. No outside minor is required.
