History students know that to understand the present, one needs explore the past. In that effort, our students exercise their skills in critical thinking, conducting research, and crafting compelling arguments in the courses the Department offers that span centuries and encompass the globe. Students are encouraged to reflect not simply on their career goals, but also on what type of persons they want to become.
