You will take a balance of courses that instill a solid practical background in areas such as media writing, reporting, and production, while also gaining a fundamental understanding of media institutions, theories of communication, and media ethics.

We offer hands-on learning so that you gain practical knowledge of multiple aspects of producing media content both within a studio setting and in the field.  

Aptitudes you can develop include anchoring a newscast, writing and producing content for the web, as well as radio and television reporting.  Production techniques, editing, and television directing are also options within the broadcast and emerging media program, as are media programming, media management, and communication law.
