Bachelor of Fine Arts [B.F.A] Drawing
Students who major in drawing graduate fully prepared to apply to more advanced education in the fine arts or pursue careers such as illustration in markets such as editorial drawing, book covers, medical illustration, CD/album covers, children's book illustration or freelance illustration.
Because of its fundamental role in visual understanding, drawing courses are often taken in support of concentrations outside the drawing concentration itself. A drawing minor usually accompanies a painting concentration, but it can reinforce others such as animation and illustration as well. Students are free to customize a minor program from the wide variety of drawing courses offered on a rotating basis. Depending on prerequisite requirements, most drawing courses in the curriculum can be taken as an elective by students interested in sharpening their visual skills, broadening their portfolios or developing an independent aesthetic viewpoint.
