Bachelor of Arts [B.A] Theatre Design Production and Technology
Develop a strong foundation in theatre through core courses then deepen your study in areas of design, production and technology. The University of Illinois at Chicago currently offers three theatre degrees:
- Bachelor of Arts in Theatre & Performance
- Bachelor of Arts in
- Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting
The curriculum balances history, theory, and practice, integrating traditional performance forms with contemporary interdisciplinary practices. Courses in Acting, Voice, Movement, Directing, Playwriting, and Design help you to develop practical knowledge, cultural sensitivity, intellectual resourcefulness, and imaginative daring.

Academic Eligibility:
- Students must have an official secondary school transcript to get admission.
- Students required to maintain at least a 3.0 overall GPA.
Language Requirments:
- Students whose official language is not English are required to submit IELTS or TOEFL scores.
- Students are required to submit an SAT or ACT score to be considered for admission.
International students who currently or will hold a degree from an institution where English is the primary language of instruction, do not need to submit a TOEFL or IELTS score report.
