Diploma Digital Film Production

  • Diploma in Digital Film Production degree at the Sault College is offered a 2-year (4 semesters) program.
  • This program will be delivered through traditional classrooms on campus.
  • The program is offered on a full-time basis.
  • Through this program, students with practical learning needs will have the opportunity to access the College campus for that learning.
  • This unique program will cover the entire filmmaking process from idea development and scripting, through production into post-production and distribution.
  • Students will focus on producing, directing, screenwriting, cinematography, editing, and sound work. They will graduate with a portfolio of high-quality, story-driven projects including short films, PSAs/commercials, and a factual television pilot.
  • Classes will cover both Feature/Short Film Production and Television Series Production.
  • In addition to traditional, narrative filmmaking, a core focus of the program will be the growing industry need for factual and reality content for television and web.
  • College can offer including opportunities to work with the local theatre/acting community for narrative short film projects, interning options on local film productions.

Academic Eligibility:

Students must have an Ontario Secondary School Diploma with Grade 12 English (C) ENG4C or have mature student status.

Others:

  • Students must be 19 years or older before the beginning of classes.
  • Students who are graduated from Ontario Secondary Schools and who have obtained their diploma (OSSD) or certificate (OSSC) may be considered for admission on an individual basis for some programs delivered at the College.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.

Indian Student Eligibility:

  • The students must have completed 10th and intermediate i.e 12th grade which has the minimum with 60% marks.
  • The minimum qualification required to attend this program is a higher secondary school certificate.
