Bachelor of Arts [B.A] International Studies

In the International Studies program offered by Baylor University, students learn about the social, political and economic issues confronting the international environment. Students also learn about regions of the world. The major includes extensive studies in a language of the student's choosing.

Students interested in international studies and politics have the option of participating in competitions including Model United Nations, Model Organization of American States and Undergraduate Moot Court. These competitions give students an opportunity to witness and practice what they learn in the classroom.

Study abroad is recommended for all International Studies majors. This opportunity allows for a deeper understanding of their studies and the opportunity to use their foreign language skills. For information on all Baylor's study abroad programs, visit the Study Abroad webpage.

Graduates most often continue their studies through graduate or law school. Both routes provide students with the opportunity to pursue international law or teach at the university level.  They also help prepare for work in upper administration for various government agencies.
