Diploma Early Childhood Education
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education degree at the Cambrian College is offered a 2-year (4 semesters) program.
- This program is offered on a full-time basis.
- In this course, students will have the opportunity to develop the knowledge and skills necessary for the field of early learning and child care.
- Through interactive classroom experiences, students will design, plan, implement, and evaluate play-based learning for young children from birth to twelve years of age.
- This program will prepare students to work with and support the diverse needs of the children and families will encounter in their future work.
- Students will build a foundation of understanding that children learn through play.
- This learning approach combined with a culturally-relevant environment will reflect that children are curious, capable, competent, and rich in potential.

Academic Eligibility:
- Students who want to get admission in this college must be 75% or above in the academic average.
- Students must qualify to obtain their OSSD (Ontario Secondary School Diploma).
- Ontario High School applicants require the following Grade 30 credits (overall average of 70% is required):
- Any grade 12 English (C) or (U)
- Any grade 11 or 12 family studies (C), (U), or (M)
- Computer competency in relevant software
Indian Student Eligibility:
- The students must have completed 10th and intermediate i.e 12th grade which has the minimum with 70% marks.
- The minimum qualification required to attend this program is a higher secondary school certificate.
Academic Eligibility:
- Applicants must be graduates of a diploma, advanced diploma, or degree from an Ontario College or equivalent.
- A minimum of 60% is required in each prerequisite course.
- Applicants working in related industries without a diploma or degree may be considered on an individual basis.
Indian Student Eligibility:
- The students must have completed 10th and intermediate i.e 12th grade which has the minimum with 70% marks.
- Applicants must be graduates of a diploma, advanced diploma, or degree in an equivalent field.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.
