Master of Science [M.S] Food Science and Agricultural Chemistry (Non -Thesis)
- The program is intended to train graduate students as specialists in food safety with the expectation that graduates will be well prepared academically to take on the challenging food safety events and issues that emerge both in Canada and globally.
- The program will cover food safety through the entire food supply chain from food production through processing/manufacturing to the food consumer; the courses which make up the program reflect the food safety considerations at the different stages of the farm to table food supply chain.

Academic Eligibility:
- Applicants should be graduates of a university of recognized reputation and hold a bachelor's degree of recognized reputation.
- The candidate is required to pass, with a grade of B- or better, all those courses that have been designated by the department as forming a part of the program, including additional requirements.
- The applicant must present evidence of academic achievement: a minimum standing equivalent to a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.0 out of a possible 4.0 or a CGPA of 3.2 out of 4.0 for the last two full-time academic years.
- All candidates for a research degree must present a thesis based on their own research. The total number of credits allotted to the thesis in any master's program must not be less than 24.
- Proof of English proficiency may be required for international applicants, whose first language is not English.
- The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) and GMAT results are required. A GRE Subject Test is encouraged.
Indian Eligibility:
- Candidates should hold a B.A., or equivalent in a discipline relevant to the proposed field of study. from institutions with a NAAC rating of “A”.
- The university degree, described above, must have been completed with a minimum GPA required is 3.3/4.0 or the equivalent, i.e., 75%, is required, though successful applicants typically have CGPAs that exceed this minimum, according to the grading scale on the transcript.
