- The Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science is a 4-year program at Carleton University.
- The Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Computer Science degree is a joint program offered by the School of Computer Science (SCS) at Carleton University and the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Ottawa.

Academic Eligibility:
- Students must hold a Master of Computer Science with a thesis or equivalent in a related field from a recognized University.
- If English is not the students’ first language then they must provide proof of English competency.
Indian Student Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Completed a 2 years Master’s, or an equivalent degree.
- Or, completed both a bachelor’s (3 years) degree and a master’s degree.
- Or, obtain a first-class division (75% or above, Distinction or Outstanding).
