- This is a research-intensive program that emphasizes developing, implementing and evaluating change-oriented initiatives to foster equity and diversity. Courses include applied and basic research approaches to address inequality and social injustice at multiple levels and in multiple forms. NC State’s graduates work in academia, community programs, public health agencies, industry, research and development settings, government at local, state, and national levels, and international institutions.
