Master of Arts [M.A] Art Design

  • The Department of Art and Design offers a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree consisting of a minimum of 60 hours of graduate work. 
  • This master’s program collaborates different areas of studio concentrations such as drawing, painting, sculpture, design, printmaking, ceramics, and intermedia.
  • The program is designed to provide professional competency for students pursuing or furthering a career as a studio artist, teacher, or in public roles.
  • Students must choose a studio area of concentration from the following: drawing, painting, sculpture, design (graphic design, photography), printmaking, ceramics, and intermedia.
  • The program consists of 60 hours which include 35 hours of Studio Major, 12 hours of Art History and Aesthetics, and 13 hours of Studio Art.

Academic Eligibility:

  • Students must hold a four-year Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university.
  • Students must have passed a bachelor's degree with a minimum grade point average of 3.0/4.0 on the last 60 undergraduate credit hours.
  • Submission of English Proficiency Test scores is required.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
