Master of Arts [M.A] Spanish (Applied Linguistics and Pedagogy)
- The Master of Arts (M.A.) in Spanish consists of two concentrations: Literature and Applied Linguistics and Pedagogy.
- The concentration in Literature and Culture is intended for those who wish to increase their knowledge of literature and culture along with their command of the language.
- The concentration in Applied Linguistics and Pedagogy is intended primarily for students who wish to teach in elementary and secondary schools or beginning and intermediate levels of post-secondary study, and to increase their effectiveness as teachers.
- Students are encouraged to enroll in study-abroad programs (limit 6 hours) and in specialized workshops in advanced language or pedagogy (limit 4 hours). Departmental permission must be obtained before enrolling in such programs.
- Ranging from elementary Spanish study through a Master's degree, programs in Spanish offer students the opportunity for in-depth study of the language and culture of the Spanish-speaking countries, as well as translation from Spanish into English.

Academic Eligibility:
- Students must a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university to get admission to this program.
- Students require a minimum GPA of 3 on a 4.0 scale for the program.
Indian Student Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Students must complete a 4-year undergraduate degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution
