Master of Education [M.Ed] Counselling Psychology

  • The Counselling Psychology program is offered by the Department of Applied Psychology and Human Development at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE), leading to the Master of Education (MEd) and Doctor of Education (EdD) degrees.
  • There are three fields:
    • Counselling and Psychotherapy (MEd, EdD)
    • Global Mental Health and Counselling Psychology​ (MEd)
    • Guidance and Counselling (MEd)
  • In the field of Counselling and Psychotherapy, the MEd program provides individuals with the opportunity to learn and develop counseling skills appropriate for a variety of work settings.
  • Students are encouraged to develop their courses and practicum learning experiences to suit their own goals.

Academic Eligibility:

  • Applicants should have an appropriate bachelor's degree of any background or discipline, with a grade equivalent to a University of Toronto B+ or better in the final year, from a recognized university.
  • Students should hold at least one year of relevant experience.
  • Students must be qualified in IELTS or TOEFL and GRE to get admission in this program.
