Master of Science [M.S] Astrophysics and Astronomy
- The astrophysics and astronomy masters program prepares students for discovering new planets, exploring cosmology, and building space-flight hardware and instruments for telescopes and satellites.
- Students work with world-class faculty on NASA- and NSF-funded space missions, seeking answers to questions about how the universe began and how it continues to evolve.
- The MS program in astrophysics and astronomy provides fundamental graduate training in both astrophysics and astronomy.
- Students take graduate-level courses in stars and interstellar media, galaxies, and cosmology; obtain quantitative skills through analysis and modelling, and they may have observation opportunities through regional and international telescope observatories.

Academic Eligibility:
- Applicants are eligible to apply to the program if students have earned a bachelor's or master's degree from a regionally accredited institution.
- Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 in the last 60 hours of a student's first bachelor's degree program or a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 in an applicable master's degree program.
Indian Student Eligibility:
- The minimum requirements are an overall average of 60% in each year, as well as in all prerequisite subjects.
- Subjects must include mathematics, chemistry, and physics in Class 11 and 12.
- GPA of 3.0/4.0 [B Grade].
English Language proficiency:
- Applicants from India, China, Vietnam, Philippines, and Pakistan should note that IELTS is the only proficiency score accepted by the Study Direct Stream (SDS) program.
- Meeting the minimum English requirements does not guarantee admission. Students with higher English proficiency scores will receive priority in the admission assessment process.
- Not all students will qualify for EAP-3106 in place of the required IELTS or TOEFL test scores.
Submission of GRE scores is not compulsory for this program, however, it is recommended to submit a minimum 292 score for a better chance of admission.
