The physics curriculum consists of sequences of interrelated courses that must be taken in the appropriate order. Well prepared students should complete the physics major in four years. The physics B.S. program prepares students for advanced study in physics or engineering, or to work in the public or private sectors. The B.S. physics teaching program prepares students to teach physics in high school. Training in physics gives students a strong ability in problem solving that will serve them well in any occupation.
