Take courses and participate in field experiences where you learn to guide students to link their already-existing knowledge, skills, and attitudes with new learning. Instead of telling students what they need to know, you will inspire them to construct new meaning in every class. Also, interdisciplinary collaboration between departments allows you to meet state-wide requirements for teacher certification while learning subjects outside your major.
