Bachelor of Arts [B.A] Spanish
The Spanish major offers the opportunity to gain proficiency in one of the most important languages spoken in the United States, the Western Hemisphere and the world. The Department offers courses of study in language, culture, linguistics, and literature, as well as a certificate program in Spanish for the professions, including medical, legal and business Spanish.
By studying the literary and linguistic heritage of Spain and Spanish America, students gain critical reading and writing skills that help them acquire and refine their abilities to speak, understand, read and write the Spanish language. The major is flexible and also affords the opportunity to study Brazilian Portuguese, the language of Florida's most important trading partner.

Academic Eligibility:
- Students should hold a high school degree or equivalent degree from a recognized institution.
- Students must have a GPA between 4.4 to 4.6.
- Submission of IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE score is required.
