Bachelor of Science [B.S] Entrepreneurship (Pre-Business)

Students are admitted into Pre-Business and will apply to Entrepreneurship major through a competitive and selective process to gain admission.Entrepreneurship students learn how to plan and launch a new business venture. Four-person teams undertake projects to develop a product or service with high-growth opportunity. At the end of each year, student teams present and defend their plans before faculty members and business leaders. The entrepreneurship major is a competitive, restricted-entry senior-level program. Students apply the fall before their senior year.

The knowledge of mathematics, accounting, economics, information systems, management, marketing, policy, ethics, and new venture development gained from a major in Entrepreneurship prepares graduates to launch, own, and manage their own small businesses, franchises, or organizations. Graduates may also provide guidance and planning for other prospective entrepreneurs, or they may represent the interests of business owners on government councils or professional associations. This major provides a strong foundation for graduate studies in business administration, economics, or public policy.
