- The Department of Classical Studies (CLAS) offers majors in ancient Greek, Latin, and classical civilization leading to the B.A. degree, as well as minors in ancient Greek, Latin, and classical civilization.
- The majors and minors in ancient Greek and Latin provide students the opportunity to study Greek and Latin literature and cultures in the original languages.
- The classical civilization majors and minors offer students with little or no knowledge of the Greek and Latin languages the opportunity to study the Greek and Roman cultures from which much of our literature and thought and many of our institutions come.
