Bachelor of Science [B.S] Technical Communication

  • The Bachelor of Science in Technical Communication provides students a hands-on approach to becoming a professional in the field of technical communication. KSU’s program's emphasis on digital environments means their graduates can work as technical content developers, visual information designers, technical writers, user experience researchers, grant writers, and digital accessibility specialists. The goal of KSU’s program is to create students who can easily adapt information so audiences can understand new concepts and complex ideas. 
  • KSU’s approach to technical communication merges technical knowledge and information design with an ultimate focus on understanding student’s audiencse. Students will take classes in introductory and advanced technical communication, user research, front-end development, and visual design.

Academic Eligibility:

  • Graduation from high school with a GPA of 2.5 with qualifying test scores-or graduation from high school with a GPA of 2.6 without test scores(If educated outside of the United States, the required official evaluation must indicate GPA)
  • Official transcripts of ALL student's high school or post-secondary records. English evaluations of all foreign documents will be needed. Students must have their foreign transcripts evaluated by one of the following credential evaluation services found at naces.org.
    • Students High School transcript will need to have a document-by-document evaluation including GPA.
    • Students College/University transcript will need to have a course-by-course evaluation.
  • Results from your Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) or American College Test (ACT).
  • International students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
