If the workings of the mind, human behavior or counseling fascinate you, you might consider becoming a psychology major. Psychology is considered a "hub" science, and it allows you to develop the skills needed for research and critical thinking, as well as options to focus on particular areas of interest.
You will be able to select courses from the following areas: development, social psychology, learning, cognitive, exceptional child, forgiveness, physiological psychology, abnormal and clinical psychology.You may also elect to pursue courses in special areas of psychology including language, death and dying, and forensic psychology. The major also allows you to choose independent projects to further your understanding and pursue research in a field that interests you.
