- Murray State University offers a unique opportunity for those who are interested in the field of agriculture.
- This university offers a diversified program in the area of Animal Technology, with the option to focus intensely on a student’s particular avenue of interest. Students enrolled in the Animal Technology program may choose to focus on Veterinary Technology or Pre-Veterinary Medicine.
- This option prepares students for employment in veterinary practices, pharmaceutical manufacturing, universities, veterinary diagnostic laboratories, animal food production facilities, biological laboratories, industries that produce and market animal health products, food inspection, and animal health technological institutions.
- The Veterinary Technology program at Murray State University is a four-year baccalaureate program.
- Students in Veterinary Technology will be instructed in the health care of dogs, cats, laboratory animals, horses, beef, sheep, swine and exotics.
- Students will also receive a semester of intense instruction at a veterinary diagnostic laboratory.
- This semester focuses on diagnostic and research techniques in large and small animals. The optional plan is designed for those students whose main goal is gaining acceptance into a veterinary school

Academic Eligibility:
- Applicant must have received or be receiving a high school diploma or a GED certificate before the term for which he/she is applying.
- Applicant submit your official high school transcript after graduation.
- If GPA is 2.0-2.99, applicant must also report ACT or SAT test score on the application.
Standards:
- High school GPA of 3.0 or higher (no ACT/SAT test score required for admission decision).
- High School GPA of 2.0 - 2.99 with an ACT composite score of 18 or higher (SAT 960 or higher).
Indian Student Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they have any one of the following certificates:
- All-India Senior School Certificate (AISSCE)
- Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC)
- Indian School Certificate (ISC)
- Intermediate Examination Certificate
- Pre-University Examination Certificate
- Students must have a Grade XII chemistry or Grade XII physics.
- Students also hold Grade XII math (Minimum math result of 55%).
Students are not required to take the IELTS or TOEFL Academic if English is their native language or if Students have spent at least three years at a secondary school where English is the primary language of instruction.
