Master of Science [M.S] Human Systems Engineering

The Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Human Systems Engineering (HSE) is a two-year program offered through the Human Systems Engineering program at Arizona State University Polytechnic School (part of the Fulton Schools of Engineering).

The M.S. in HSE program emphasizes the application of psychological science, cognitive science, and engineering principles to diverse areas, including decision making, health, human factors, human-computer interaction, learning and education, perception, social processes, team cognition, usability, and product development.

Academic Eligibility

  • A bachelor’s in psychology or a related field (including engineering, computer science or business) is required
  • Applicants to this program generally have completed an undergraduate course in statistics.
  • Minimum of 3.00 cumulative GPA (scale is 4.00=A)

Indian Student Eligibility:

  • The minimum requirements are an overall average of 60% in each year, as well as in all prerequisite subjects.
  • Subjects must include mathematics, chemistry, and physics in Class 11 and 12.
  • GPA of 3.0/4.0 [B Grade].

English Language proficiency:

  • Applicants from India, China, Vietnam, Philippines, and Pakistan should note that IELTS is the only proficiency score accepted by the Study Direct Stream (SDS) program.
  • Meeting the minimum English requirements does not guarantee admission. Students with higher English proficiency scores will receive priority in the admission assessment process.
  • Not all students will qualify for EAP-3106 in place of the required IELTS or TOEFL test scores.

Submission of GRE scores is not compulsory for this program, however, it is recommended to submit a minimum 292 score for a better chance of admission.
