Bachelor of Arts [B.A] Catholic Studies
- The Catholic Studies program will provide students with a deeper understanding and appreciation of the Catholic contribution to society. Explore Roman Catholicism as a religious and cultural reality that expresses and motivates multiple forms of human expression.
- Catholic Studies majors study and work with faculty members from a number of DePaul’s colleges and departments, including anthropology, economics, English, philosophy, religious studies, and the College of Science and Health. With flexibility in course selection, they will explore multiple subject areas and perspectives.
- Chicago has one of the largest Catholic populations in the United States, with a rich theological, pastoral, ethnic, architectural, artistic, and musical heritage for students to experience firsthand.
- DePaul’s Catholic Studies department has two study-abroad programs in Italy and offers upper-level Catholic Studies majors the opportunity to take selected courses at the Catholic Theological Union in Chicago.

Academic Eligibility:
- Students must have an official secondary school transcript to get admission.
- Students are required to maintain at least a 2.0 overall GPA.
Language Requirments:
- Students whose official language is not English are required to submit IELTS or TOEFL scores.
- Students are required to submit an SAT or ACT score to be considered for admission.
International students who currently or will hold a degree from an institution where English is the primary language of instruction, do not need to submit a TOEFL or IELTS score report.
