Bachelor of Science [B.S] Computer Science

The rapid advances in computer technology in today’s highly technological society have resulted in an ongoing demand for computer science graduates. Bowling Green’s computer science major prepares graduates for many different career paths with numerous opportunities available throughout the United States and abroad.

Students are the primary focus in the computer science department. They receive individual attention from faculty both in and out of the classroom. Classes for majors are all taught by faculty (not graduate assistants) and are limited to a maximum of 35 students. A strong commitment to academic advising ensures that all students receive the guidance they need as they select courses and plan for future careers. The computer science department supports a co-op program offering students excellent opportunities to gain practical experience in the computing field and to grow both personally and professionally. Students receive academic credit, valuable experience and good pay for co-op experiences. A co-op experience requires an additional semester of study. Most computer science students participate in the co-op program each year, but participation is not required.

The Computer Science programme is offered at Bowling Green State University.
