- The BS in Computer Science provides students with the foundations of computer science and applications in the computing and data science industry. The bachelor's degree in computer science at KSU emphasizes the study of computer systems architecture, algorithms, software development, artificial intelligence, and data science.
- Core technology teaching areas include programming, computer architecture, operating systems, networking, information assurance and security, big data, machine learning, data mining, cloud computing, database systems, and software engineering.
- In the computer science program, students will gain a strong foundation in computing principles such as the design of programming languages, data structures, and operating system principles. Incorporated into many of the major courses are mathematics components and mathematics concepts.

Academic Eligibility:
- Graduation from high school with a GPA of 2.5 with qualifying test scores-or graduation from high school with a GPA of 2.6 without test scores(If educated outside of the United States, the required official evaluation must indicate GPA)
- Official transcripts of ALL student's high school or post-secondary records. English evaluations of all foreign documents will be needed. Students must have their foreign transcripts evaluated by one of the following credential evaluation services found at naces.org.
- Students High School transcript will need to have a document-by-document evaluation including GPA.
- Students College/University transcript will need to have a course-by-course evaluation.
- Results from your Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) or American College Test (ACT).
- International students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
