Bachelor of Science [B.S] Foods and Nutrition
That’s why we created the food and nutrition major; it’s the ideal program if you want to incorporate nutrition into your profession without committing to a career as a dietitian. You’ll build from a broad understanding of culinary skills and personal nutrition. You’ll also have the opportunity to choose a minor or cognate that best suits your desired career path.
It begins with excellent academics, led by talented and professional faculty. There are a number of reasons to choose Samford University’s Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, including:
- Low student-to-teacher ratio in the classroom
- Highly educated and experienced faculty who are always available to you
- Receiving a curriculum based on nutrition but also tailored to suit your individual interests
- Hands-on teaching, nutrition seminars, experiential learning in the workplace and opportunities to study abroad
- The opportunity to join the Student Dietetic Association
