 The bachelor of science in electrical engineering degree program prepares its graduates for a successful career in the rapidly evolving and intellectually challenging field of electrical engineering. The Department requires its graduates to develop a strong understanding of the relevant mathematics, computer programming and natural science concepts needed by practicing electrical engineers. Graduates must demonstrate an ability to apply this knowledge in several fundamental areas of electrical engineering, including communication systems, control systems, digital signal processing, digital systems, electromagnetics, micorelectronics and power systems. They also must demonstrate sufficient knowledge and technical skills needed to complete a major design experience and to function as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.

: The bachelor of science in computer engineering degree program prepares its graduates for a successful career in the interdisciplinary field of computer engineering. The program is built on the foundation of the electrical engineering program. Graduates have an opportunity to prepare for advanced graduate-level training or a professional career in or built upon a variety of computer engineering application areas including digital systems, digital signal processing, computer networks and VLSI design.
