Post Diploma International Business Management

  • Post-Diploma in International Business Management at Douglas College is offered as 1 year or 2-term teaching program.
  • It is an on-campus program offered in fall, winter, and summer.
  • Students have to successfully complete 30 credits for this program.
  • All students enrolled in the Post-Diploma Degree (PDD) International Business Management will be automatically enrolled in the FITT Diploma program and receive an industry-recognized FITT Diploma in International Trade upon completion of all requirements.
  • Students will pay an additional mandatory fee of $425 (plus applicable taxes) to cover FITT eBooks, credit transfer, and examination fees.
  • Once students complete a year of work experience in international trade, they may apply for the International Trade Professional (CITP) designation.
  • FITT offers the only international business training programs and related professional designation (CITP®|FIBP®) endorsed by the World Trade Centers Association and the Canadian government.
  • Students have to complete 70% (21 credits) of all coursework must be completed at Douglas College.

Academic Eligibility:

  • Students must complete BC secondary school graduation (or the equivalent in another school system).
  • Students have one course short of BC secondary school graduation.
  • Students complete 19 years old by the end of the first month of the first semester of attendance.
  • Completion of a certificate or equivalent from a special needs program and has been in school for 12 years is required.
  • It is recommended that students have a minimum grade of 60% (grade C) on average in their undergraduate degree.

Language Requirements:

  • Students must have strong English skills. 
  • The students whose official language is not English must submit the English Language Proficiency scores like IELTS or TOEFL.
  • If the student does not meet the language requirements they can take English Language Learning and Acquisition (ELLA) program and complete it and pursue this program.
