Bachelor of Science [B.S] Biology and Pharmacology

  • McMaster University offers a  BSc in Biology and Pharmacology for a duration of 4 years.
  • It is an on-campus program offered on a full-time basis.
  • This is a five-level (year) co-op program, three terms of which must be spent in work related to biology or pharmacology placements.
  • Students enter the program after 2 years of an Honours Biology, Life Sciences, or an equivalent program.

Academic Eligibility:

  • The following are the minimum Grade 12 U and M requirements:
    • English U
    • One of the Advanced Functions U or Calculus and Vectors U (Calculus and Vectors U is strongly recommended)
  • The minimum overall average of 88% or higher is required.
  • Students also have to Complete 4 additional U or M courses, to total of 6 courses, of which 2 must be at the U level.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:

  • Students must have 5 subjects of Class XII including all mandatory prerequisites for the selected program.
  • The student's average is calculated on Grade XII Predicted grades.
  • Students are eligible to apply if they have the following documents: Class X board results, Class XI transcript, and Class XII predicted grades.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.
