Master of Science [M.S] Communication Disorders and Sciences

The master's degree program includes 30 semester hours of core courses required for all candidates and 4 semester hours of special topics selected by the student for specialization and interest, seven semester hours of advanced practicum. The final two semesters consist of a full-time 14-week medical internship and a full-time 14-week educational internship that can be completed throughout the state or country.Typically, graduate candidates require six consecutive full-time semesters to complete their master's degree. A usual program includes four semesters of advanced coursework and practicum followed by two 14-week internships, one in an educational setting and one in a medical setting. The educational internship is usually completed in the state of Illinois. Medical internships may be completed nationwide.
