Bachelor of Science [B.S] Cognition and Brain
- This Science program provides students with a grounding in the principles and techniques used by intelligent systems, both natural and artificial. It emphasizes the study of existing systems (i.e., linguistics), the design of new ones (i.e., machine intelligence), and the design of interfaces between different forms of intelligent agents.
- Students can choose to specialize in either Cognition and the Brain, or Computational Intelligence and Design.

Academic eligibility:
The academic requirements of the program are:
- Students who do not have B.C. High School Chemistry 12 (or its equivalent) must write the UBC Chemistry Basic Skills Test and may be required to take CHEM 100.
- Students attempting the COGS major should choose electives to obtain prerequisites to appropriate third and fourth-year courses

General admission requirements for Indian students are:

Graduation from a university-preparatory program at a senior secondary school: Higher Secondary School Certificate awarded on completion of Standard XII. Certificates must be official. Photocopies are acceptable if certified by the school principal, head, or counselor. Notarized copies are not acceptable.
