Master of Science [M.S] Pharmaceutical Sciences (Pharmaceutics)
The College of Pharmacy offers the Doctor of Philosophy degree in pharmaceutical sciences with a concentration in medicinal chemistry. Medicinal chemistry is a unique blend of the physical and biological sciences. The scope of the field is sufficiently broad to give students with many different science backgrounds a rewarding and challenging program of study. Areas of active research include organic synthesis of medicinal agents, metal chelate design, prodrugs and topical drug delivery, drug metabolism, molecular toxicology, molecular biology, combinatorial chemistry, neurochemistry, analytical chemistry, molecular modeling, natural products, and drug discovery.

Academic Eligibility:
- Students must hold a recognized baccalaureate, graduate, or professional degree from a regionally accredited US institution or a comparable degree from an international institution.
- For applicants with a bachelor’s degree only, a minimum grade point average of B (3.0) is required.
- Students must be qualified in IELTS or TOEFL to get admission to this program.
- Submission of GRE scores is required.
Indian Student Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Completed a 4-year UG degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
- Completed a master’s degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
