The mission of the Program from?University of La Verne is to provide students with a well-balanced undergraduate education in anthropology that integrates theory and application in anthropology?s four fields: cultural anthropology, archaeology, biological anthropology, and linguistic anthropology, and that prepares them to participate as skilled professionals is a diverse and globalizing world.
Careers in Anthropology
Today?s anthropologists work in a wide variety of settings including business, government, health care, museums, education, and human services. They typically earn incomes higher than the national average.
In the business world, anthropologists are employed to do international and multicultural training, product development and design, marketing, organizational culture research, strategic planning and management. Major corporations such as General Mills, Motorola, Inc., and General Motors employ full-time professional anthropologists in these and other capacities.? Many anthropologists work as consultants in these areas as well.
