Penn State now offers a two-year program designated only for the M.A. degree in economics. The program provides rigorous training in econometrics and quantitative economics as well as in economic theory. It is ideal for those who pursue high-level professional careers in industry and government, or further study for a Ph.D. degree.
The program is well suited to those:

Academic Eligibility:
- Students must hold a baccalaureate degree or its equivalent from a regionally accredited college or university.
- A cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 for the entire undergraduate career.
Indian Eligibility:
- Students are required to submit a 4-year undergraduate degree with 70% or above from the recognized university or college.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
