Bachelor of Science [B.S] Sport Management

Through the program, students will:

  • Master the principles of management and their application to the sport industry
  • Understand entrepreneurship and how it relates to professional sport
  • Identify key factors contributing to the globalization of sport
  • Study the nature and complexity of sport finance, especially relating to the financing of sporting venues
  • Learn about sport marketing and specific marketing strategies
  • Focus on ethical decision-making and the application of basic legal principles
  • Study the significance of media in the sport industry, including new media, ethics, crisis management and publications
  • Be able to choose one of our double major options in sport management and accounting, economics, finance, management or marketing offered through the Welch College of Business & Technology 
  • Experience a unique internship that emphasizes job search, interviewing and career assessment skills
  • Be able to explore the global sport management market through Sacred Heart’s Luxembourg campus

Academic Eligibility:

  • Personal qualities and interests that will allow one to make a unique addition to the Sacred Heart community.
  • SHU is a test-optional institution. One may elect to submit SAT or ACT scores for consideration; however, there is no requirement to do so.
