Master of Science [M.S] Electrical Engineering
- The M.S. in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) program provides students with advanced knowledge of the theory and applications of electrical systems and signal processing.
- The program spans across the broad areas of communications, controls, and signal processing; electronic and electromagnetic devices; and power and energy systems. Sub-specialties include metamaterials, antennas, photonics, wireless communications and networking, robotics and dynamical systems, image processing and computer vision, machine learning, power generation, and delivery, renewable energy, and power electronics.
- The Master's degree requires successful completion of 30 approved graduate credits. Both thesis and non-thesis options are available, as described below:
-
Thesis option: The thesis option provides the students the opportunity to work on a research project that culminates in the publication of a thesis. Students under the thesis option earn 9 credits from the thesis and 21 credits from graduate courses.
-
Non-thesis option: The non-thesis option enables students to focus more on coursework than research. There are two ways by which non-thesis MSCPE and MSEE degrees may be earned
