Doctor of Pharmacy [Pharm.D]
- The College of Pharmacy offers the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree to students who successfully complete prescribed courses. The sole entry level degree for the pharmacy profession, the college’s comprehensive academic program prepares students for the practice of pharmacy and the delivery of pharmaceutical care.
- UGA’s Pharm.D. program is a direct gateway to a well-rounded career blending science, health care, direct patient contact, computer technology and business in such areas as academia, clinical pharmacy, chain community pharmacy, independent community pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, the pharmaceutical industry, and much more.

- An applicant may be admitted as a prospective candidate for the Doctor of Philosophy degree upon certification by the major department that he or she is a person of proper attainment and promise, that appropriate courses may be adequately given, and that the student’s research can be adequately supported and directed. Such admission must be to an authorized field and must be approved by the dean of the Graduate School.
- Persons holding a baccalaureate degree, or a foreign equivalent, from a regionally accredited institution are eligible to apply for admission to the Graduate School.
- Minimum TOEFL score requirement: overall score of 80 with at least 20 on speaking and writing.
- Minimum IELTS score requirement: overall band-width of 6.5, with no single band (score) below 6.0.
