Bachelor of Science [B.S] Fisheries and Wildlife
The major has three areas of emphasis from which students can choose:
- Aquatic Sciences
- Pre-Vet Wildlife Sciences
- Wildlife Sciences
The Fisheries and Wildlife program is recognized as one of the premier programs in the country.
This degree program is certified by the American Fisheries Society and The Wildlife Society. Certification means that the graduates are trained to provide professional advice regarding fisheries and wildlife management, and it increases the competitiveness of our graduates when seeking employment.

At UGA, the only minimum score requirements in place are the ones required by the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia for admission to its research universities: that is, an SAT-CR of 430 and SAT-M of 400, or subscores of 17 on both the English and Math sections of the ACT.
Persons seeking admission to the University of Georgia Graduate School must hold a baccalaureate degree from an institution accredited by the appropriate regional accrediting association or its international equivalent prior to the expected semester of matriculation with the exception of University of Georgia undergraduate students enrolled in linked bachelors/masters programs. Applicants should be ranked in the upper half of their undergraduate class. Applicants are responsible for submitting application materials required for admission. These items include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Any supplemental material required by the department
