- Economists help society to understand why interest rates fluctuate and oil prices rise and fall. They assist society in using its economic resources wisely.
- Courses in the Economics Department can be divided into three categories, those that explain the techniques of analysis within the discipline, those that apply these techniques to particular sections of the economy, and those that explain the influence of economic forces in the development of particular societies.
- Graduates may find possible careers in banking and finance, government, economic research, industry, international organizations, life insurance, stock market, and labour relations.
