Diploma Civil Engineering Technician

  • Diploma in Civil Engineering Technician degree at the Sault College is offered a 2-year (4 semesters) program.
  • This program will be delivered through traditional classrooms on campus.

  • Through this program, students with practical learning needs will have the opportunity to access the College campus for that learning.
  • Through this program, students will learn the concepts and hands-on skills necessary to design and build everything from highways, buildings, pipelines, and hydro-electric developments.
  • This is a co-operative education program. Students are required to complete at least one co-op work placement in order to graduate.
  • This program is designed to prepare students with the basic skills and knowledge to assist in the design and construction process.
  • Graduates work in a variety of careers including computer-aided drafting and design, surveying, construction layout, and inspection, field and laboratory testing, supervision and scheduling of projects, and etc.
  • If students are Canadian citizens or permanent residents and currently unemployed, students may qualify for second career funding for this program.

Academic Eligibility:

  • Ontario Secondary School diploma with:
    • Grade 12 English (C) ENG4C
    • Grade 12 Mathematics for College Technology (C) MCT4C
    • Grade 12 Foundations for College Math (C) MAP4C, or
    • mature student status.

Others:

  • Students must be 19 years or older before the beginning of classes.
  • Students who are graduated from Ontario Secondary Schools and who have obtained their diploma (OSSD) or certificate (OSSC) may be considered for admission on an individual basis for some programs delivered at the College.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.

Indian Student Eligibility:

  • The students must have completed 10th and intermediate i.e 12th grade which has the minimum with 60% marks.
  • The minimum qualification required to attend this program is a higher secondary school certificate.
  • Copies of original documents should be attested as true copies by the educational institution.
  • School Record Diploma/Degree certificate Mark sheets for each year of study.
  • College Record is not sufficient.
