Bachelor of Arts [B.A] Spanish
The department serves majors from the Center for Latin American Studies and the Max Kade Center for European and German Studies. On the graduate level, the department offers a doctoral program in Spanish and a combination doctoral degree in Spanish/Portuguese.Many students participate in Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca (Spain), Argentina, Chile, the Dominican Republic, and Brazil. Activities organized by the department include lectures, films, and symposia. The department has a chapter of the national honor society Sigma Delta Pi for students of Spanish. Students are encouraged to apply for living space in the Spanish Hall of McTyeire International House.

Academic Eligibility:
- Students must have an official secondary school transcript to get admission.
- Students required to maintain at least a 3.5 overall GPA.
Language Requirments:
- Students whose official language is not English are required to submit IELTS or TOEFL scores.
- Students are required to submit an SAT or ACT score to be considered for admission.
International students who currently or will hold a degree from an institution where English is the primary language of instruction, do not need to submit a TOEFL or IELTS score report.
