Introductory and advanced courses (both theoretical and historical) are designed for students to explore this wide range of music as music majors, music minors, or as students fulfilling liberal education requirements.

Students will find in music exceptional opportunities for both solo and ensemble performance. Students are eligible to audition for membership in the?College Choir?and?Chamber Music ensembles. Whittier students may also participate in the Rio Hondo Symphony and the Chorale Bel Canto, strong community ensembles under professional leadership.?Individual instruction?in voice, instruments, and composition is offered at all levels of proficiency by an outstanding artist-faculty.
