Diploma Game Programming
- St. Lawrence College offers a Diploma inGame Programming for a duration of 2years.
- It is an on-campus program offered on a full-time basis.
- The program introduces fundamental game concepts including introductory computer programming in C++, C#, scripting languages, web development, and database storage techniques.
- Students of the Game Programming program will require access to a windows 10 capable PC with the following minimum specs for the program:
- Core i3 CPU or higher
- 8gb Ram or higher
- 250GB Hard drive or larger (Ideally SSD)
- Graphics card capable of DirectX 10 or higher
- A stable Internet Connection
- Students will also learn mathematical calculations for advanced programming techniques required for sophisticated graphics, A.I. (artificial intelligence), and networked multiplayer games.
- Graduates of the Game Programming program develop a sound background in software design methodology and programming.
- In year two, the project course involves work with consoles and devices used in game studios.
- Students can expect to spend approximately 10 to 20 hours per week on homework outside of classroom instruction.
- Most courses have 3 or 4 tests scheduled throughout the semester. Lab work involves approximately one lab per week per course.
- St. Lawrence College offers an extensive Student Scholarship and Bursary program. Scholarships and bursaries for this purpose are sponsored by external organizations and private individuals.

Academic Eligibility:
- Students have to complete Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) with the majority of Grade 11 and 12 courses at the C, U, or M level including the following prerequisites:
- Grade 12 English at the C or U level
- Grade 11 Math at the C, U, or M level.
Indian Student Eligibility:
- The students must have completed 10th and intermediate i.e 12th grade which has the minimum with 60% marks.
- The minimum qualification required to attend this program is a higher secondary school certificate.
- Copies of original documents should be attested by the educational institution.
- School Record of Diploma/Degree certificate Mark sheets for each year of study is required.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.
